As reported in my earlier blog post “please support our charity week” the Dancemania shop in Poole organised a charity week in support of Cancer Research UK and the Round Table Children’s Wish. In support of the latter Dancemania ran a competition where for £1 visitors to the shop could write down on a link to a paper chain the name of an item in the shop that they would really like. The link with their wish on it was then added to the chain of wishes that decorated the Dancemania shop. On 16 December 2010 the chain was taken down and each link was placed in a pot and one wish was drawn at random. Here is a message from the winner of the Dancemania Round Table Children’s Wish competition:
“My name is Holly White and I am 11 years old. I belong to Renascence Trampolining and Gymnastics Club. I’ve been trampolining since I was seven, and I started gymnastics a few months later. Up until 16th January I was a Regional E under 13 trampolining girls’ competitor but I qualified, winning my category, so now I’m Regional D! I couldn’t have qualified though without the help of my coaches, Erika and Rob Thorne. Soon, I am hoping to qualify to Nat C. I train four times a week and so I get through a lot of leotards! That’s why I was so pleased to win such a lovely leotard in the Dancemania draw!
I also go dancing at the Orchard Academy of Performing Arts, doing ballet, tap and modern. I was in the Peter Pan pantomime which was held at Poole Lighthouse from the 10th December until 9th January and that was amazing! Soon I’ll be taking my ballet exam and then I’ll be Grade 4 in all my classes. I’m a very busy girl!!”

Well done Holly on helping raise £53 for the Round Table Children’s wish charity and we think you look great in your Superstar sleeveless gymnastics leotard – an appropriately named leotard for you we think, especially on hearing that you have qualified to the Nationals in July on the DMT (Double Mini Tramp).
